Advise me benefits and disadvantages (if any) of keeping a juvenile Flowerhorn fish in a 200 litre tank.?

I am talking about maintainance, temperature, temperment, food, sub-strata, filtre everything, incl the fish.

Professional replies would be appreciated. This is my first venture with Flowerhorn, though I have been keeping fish for 7 years now incl Goldfish, Oscar, Discus, Arwona etc.

Breeding Betta, Sci club project?

Ok we had this yelowish mostly Purple Male Betta name Amathyist. We notice in his 20 gal take he was making a very large bubble nest when we gotten a female and was place next to his tank, which now keeping her seprate. Far as I'm who cares for the club pets, i need to know what should i and my Club members feed them as of being seprate? I give Amphy betta pellets with color enhanser, same for the female but as flakes. Our Advisor has bread Bettas before but shes ask us to look up some helpful information so we all understand what will go on. Using Google is confusing cause it gives me alot of things and yes some are helpful but it like jiberish to me. I ask Betta Breeders for Web sites with some Pictures or your advice, Please keep it Polite and short but to the point. I am Pulling this up on my school compt system.

-we did have a problem before of our female was put in Amathyist tank by accident but we have her in her own lil containor again.

My Black Moor Fish is ill, can anyone help?

Ok I bought a small sized black moor from the pet store about a week ago he seemed to be settling into my tank with my other fish quite well. Suddenly tonight i noticed he is having great trouble swimming and he struggles to get to the bottom of the tank and keeps floating up to the top, I turned my filter off to make the current of the water not so strong for him to try and swim against.

There are no other symptoms (like white spotting/discolouing) just the fact that he is swimming at the top and struggling. He is always on one side as well, I keep looking, it looks like he is dead and then when I go near the tank he will start swimming again. I'm really worried. I don't know whether to do a water change or how to treat this. It looks like it might be shimmying disease other wise known as the shimmies, but I don't know if thats a tropical fish disease only.

Could you tell me what caused this, and how to treat it …. and is it infectious?
I dont have a spare tank to quarantine him I looked up swin bladder disease and it looks like thats whats wrong, can I treat him in the same tank with the rest of my fish … I've done this for ich etc before … What do u think?

My Giant Betta Fish Breeding

My Giant “KING” Bettas breeding…
took only 1 week to condition them, I fed them freeze-dried/frozen bloodoworms and then on Thursday it happened. The morning of Thursday. my Giant Male started makin his bubblenest and filled the styrofoam cup fully…then 10 minutes later I let them loose. In no time, after the female checked out the nest, they went at it and it ended in an hour…took the female out and put her with my Pineapple Giant jus on the left side of my tank…

How to treat “pop eye” problem in Oscar cichlid ? Fish experts kindly advice?

If only one eye is bulged, is it “pop eye” or could be an external injury or the fish has hit itself in some ornament or something ..

There is no bleeding or redness in the eye, its just bit of buldged for the past 24 hrs.
